Connect 6

I-Chen Wu, 2003

Connect 6 is a two-player strategy game similar to Gomoku. The game was invented by Professor I-Chen Wu of National Chiao Tung University in Taiwan in 2003. The goal of the game is to be the first to get six of your stones in a row, either horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.

Unlike Gomoku, where players alternate placing one stone at a time, in Connect 6, the second player starts with one stone on the board, and players alternate placing two stones at a time. This rule change makes the game more balanced and less prone to the first-player advantage.

The game is played on a 19x19 grid, and players use black and white stones, similar to Go. The game ends when one player successfully aligns six stones in a row.
